Nobo Komagata: (Moderate) Hypermiling

Text: Try Hypermiling? Less Aggressive and Less Wasteful Driving. If you are irritated by the way hypermilers drive, I actually understand; I was like that before. However, I hope that more people understand the benefits of (decent) hypermiling by recognizing how wasteful and aggressive the "common" driving pattern (e.g., a series of excessive acceleration and breaking) can be.

My driving pattern as of February 5, 2016:

During 1994-2004, I was driving a dinosaur, albeit a beautiful one with a then-relatively-rare remote starter, hand-made infrared parking sensor, and also hand-made vertical stabilizer aka shark fin (decoration, not an antenna). (~ 18 MPG)
